A couple of days ago I was transported to my days of youth when I heard Ginuwine's, "Pony" on the radio. Of course, I never really payed it any attention cuz I just jam when I hear one of those songs that I use to hear when I was like 8 or 9 (pop influence was hard to escape, especially in the ghetto where I still live).
I downloaded it a day ago or two and only then did I really start to listen to the lyrics. I remember sitting on my porch with my neighborhood friends with this song playing on the stereo full blast only to have my mother swing the screen door open and go, "Ay, cochina" (it means dirty or something to that effect for my non-Spaniard descended neighbors). But, of course, my mom was already having problems with that all my neighborhood friends were and are black and was sure that my preferences in music and friends were going to send me backsliding to the pits of hell.
But I digress. Have you heard "Pony" recently? Like, for real, Ginuwine? I am doing no such thing! Below is the filthy evidence. Ginuwine, being all sorts of fine. Then, anyhow. I don't know how he's been treading as of late.
At one point, I may make a post solely for the videos that I was banned from watching on MTV when I was a kid (back when MTV was still kinda ok).
